Version History

This list is not intended to be exhaustive. Only the most important changes will be stated.

  • Version 1.4.2 (2012-12-05):
    • Added activity to import the contents of an ics file to a local calendar. This can be used for e-mail attachments, local files or remote files with a content-type of text/calendar.
    • Bugfix: Deleting sync feeds failed when Todo-suite was not installed.
    • Bugfix: Added a fix (data-correction) for duplicate VALARM entries in ics-files created by the sync.
    • Bugfix: NPE with reminder query on HTC phones.
    • Bugfix: Added memory-cleanups to address reported app-crashes with different symtoms most likely all caused by OutOfMemoryErrors.
  • Version 1.2.7 (2012-12-07):
    • Bugfix: Fixed NullPointerException on startup of EditSyncFeed screen.
  • Version 1.2.6 (2012-12-05):
    • Added activity to import the contents of an ics file to a local calendar. This can be used for e-mail attachments, local files or remote files with a content-type of text/calendar.
    • Bugfix: Sync failed for event with DTSART and RDATE set but without DTEND (not supported by Android).
  • Version 1.4.0 (2012-04-30):
    • Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) compatibility
  • Version 1.2.4 (2012-04-27):
    • Bugfix: Setting timer according to the sync interval in version 1.2.3 was wrong (no auto-sync for those who changed intervals in this version).
  • Version 1.2.1 ():
    • Daylight saving: Wrong shifting for events with no timzone-id and without the UTC declaring "Z". Added explicit fallback.
    • Added support for RDATE in both ways (remark: Android does not make use of the end-date; durations are not supported by Android). As no calendar app was found which offers this option, this behaviour might be unknown.
    • Organizer data will not be shrinked to the email on re-sync to remote.
  • Version 1.2.0 (2011-10-25):
    • Added support for local iCalendars on file-system (e.g. in your Dropbox folder). In most apps you can just open the *.ics file by clicking on them.
    • Bugfix on daytime savings for some kind of events. If this still occurs: sync unsynchronized events, delete syncfeed for the corresponding iCalendar (sync-content only, so configuration remains) and resync.
    • UI-fix: When on sync, the list scrolled up to the top.
    • Bugfix: FTP-URIs with non-alphanumeric chars in domain name will be addressed correctly.
  • Version 1.1.1 (2011-08-12):
    • Removed the information of sending UTF-8 text/calendar, as some servers are not well configured (they accept UTF-8 files, but do not want to know that it's UTF-8 ;-)).
  • Version 1.1.0 (2011-08-03):
    • Added FTP(S) support.
    • Fixed behaviour: When a clean-up procedure erases your calendars (observed on CyanogenMod), the next sync will just re-fetch it.
  • Version 1.0.9 (2011-08-01):
    • Bug-fix: registering the receivers (auto-sync after registering on reboot did not work)
  • Version 1.0.8 (2011-07-29):
    • Recurrent-event bug: Workaround for the CalendarProvider bug (on update of recurrent events with limitation, Android computes a wrong date-time value).
    • Set more header informations. Needed for servers with stricter policies.
    • Support for gzip transfer.
  • Version 1.0.7 (2011-07-20):
    • Implemented better color picker (thx to mColorPicker!, under Apache2 License)
    • Bugfix: Unlocker caching problem on ICSSync UI.
  • Version 1.0.6 (2011-07-10):
    • Bugfix trial-period

    • Bugfix and rewrite of choosing the standard timezone of the iCalendar.
  • Version 1.0.4 (2011-05-25):
    • Relaxed the parser for DATE-TIME values, as some services do not fulfil sufficiently the iCalendar specification.
    • Corrected some daylight time bugs.
    • ... and a lot of small bug fixes.
  • Version 1.0.3 (2011-05-10):
    • Edited feed option for untrusted certificates and its handling to skip certificate check. (users should recheck if they need this option for existing feeds). The option now prevents any possible certificate problems.
  • Version 1.0.2 (2011-05-09):
    • Bugfix: Uncontrollable deletion of calendars on some devices (mostly non-HTC-devices)
    • Support for all possible line breaks (OS dependent)
    • Added sync account
  • Version 1.0.1 (2011-05-03):
